I am getting "Certificate error", contact your software provider" when tried to install myZen on
N95? Why?
N95 (8GB version included) has known bugs with Java applications. Technically speaking, N95 is unable to
process certain parameters in the Java installation file (.JAD file). Here is what you need to do:
1. Check your N95 firmware version and make it is equal or higher than 11.0.026
2. If your firmware version is lower than 11.0.026, then upgrade the firmware on your N95 by going to http:
//www.nokia.co.uk/A4777088 and selecting N95. Install Nokia's firmware updat application on your PC and
follow the process to upgrade your N95. It is pretty straightforward but will take about 30 minutes to
complete.
3. Then from your N95's mobile browser, go to http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/myzen-n95.jad
The installation process will begin and this time you won't get that frustrating "Certificate Error"
4. After the installation, go to Applications Manager in your N95, select myZen and change the suite
settings to allow myZen to READ/WRITE/Network Access all the time. This way, you won't get the annoying
"Do you want to ..." messages. For more details see http://support.myzenplanet.com/support/YaBB.pl?

When you point your mobile browser to http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/myzen.jad your mobile device will
download myZen application for installation. During this process, your mobile will prompt to pick a location
to install myZen. Most mobile devices today has phone memory and SD card memory storage. It is better
to install myZen on phone memory for faster startup and efficiency. You can pick any location in the phone
memory to install but remember where you installed so that you can find it later
Why do I get prompted to allow Internet ?
As a security measure, mobile handset notifies the user whenever myZen attempts to connect to the
Internet. myZen frequently connects to the Internet to download or upload content.
You can simply modify the PERMISSIONS for myZen to always allow Internet connection so that you will not
be prompted again.
On a Sony Ericsson mobile device, highlight myZen application and then hit the right SOFT KEY "MOTE".
Scroll down to PERMISSIONS. Select INTERNET ACCESS from the PERMISSION menu and set to to
"NEVER ASK".
Why do I get prompted to allow READ/WRITE?
As a security measure, mobile handset notifies the user whenever myZen attempts to read or write data to
your mobile device. myZen frequently scans your mobile device to determine if you have taken any new
photos or video for upload to community servers.
You can simply modify the PERMISSIONS for myZen to always allow READ & WRITE so that you will not be
prompted again.
On a Sony Ericsson mobile device, highlight myZen application and then hit the right SOFT KEY "MOTE".
Scroll down to PERMISSIONS. Select the following PERMISSION options and set them to "NEVER ASK" or
"ALWAYS ALLOWED".
I get "Operation Failed" during myZen install?
myZen is a trusted application and validated by Verisign. myZen requires VeriSign Class 3 Java certificate
in your mobile handset. If you don't have Verisign certificate, you will see "Operations Failed" message.
You can check if you have Verisign certificate on your device by going to:
Settings> General>Security>Certificate >Trusted Certificates – Check if there is a VeriSign Class 3
Also check if the same cert is in the Java Certificates section .
Worst case you can try to install an unsigned version of myZen. Go to:
http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/myzen-unsigned.jad or
http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/index.wml and select unsigned version of myZen.

My handset is not listed, would myZen still work?
The basic requirement for myZen is a Java (J2ME MIDP 2.0, CLDC 1.1) handset with QVGA (display size is
320x240) and at least 1MB of free space on the mobile device or SD card.
myZen application was developed to support handsets with above configuration without having us to test
on every device but we still do our best to run a suite of tests to make sure myZen works as expected.
We are continuously testing and adding new handsets to our list of supported handsets. Please let us
know your specific handset requests and we will make sure we add to our list of devices to test and
support.
We also love to hear from you if you are able to successfully run myZen on a non-listed handset. We can
do a quick test in that case and add to our list of supported handsets.
Handset Configuration
Handsets must be configured with proper APNs for myZen to communicate to the Internet based
communities. Some handsets also require different APNs for WAP data connectivity and audio/video
streaming connectivity. Please check with your mobile service provider for proper configuration.
The following sites are also useful to find the correct APNs for your service provider:
