Frequently Asked Questions
Can I see a quick demo of what myZen is?
Check out a short video on myZen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z8Kqyu-UhG8
Can I run myZen in the background?
Some mobiles like Nokia and SonyEricsson allows applications to run in the background. In these mobiles,
you can run myZen in the background and when you are ready to use, you can bring it to the foreground,
thus avoiding starting and stopping every time.
Should I leave myZen "ON" all the time?
You could but not necessary but .... If myZen is left ON, it queries the social communities you have
subscribed to periodically and updates your mobile with latest thumbnails of pictures, videos, blogs and
podcasts. This way, when you are ready to browse, you have the latest on the web in the palm of your
hands and don't have to wait for your mobile to connect and query social communities.
If you take pictures and videos and want to upload to respective communities, then you need to run myZen
and leave it own for few minutes (depending on how many new photos and video you have to upload).
Even if you shut down myZen, the next time when myZen is run, it will upload from wherever left off. So it is
efficient but you won't be able to see pictures or videos until they are completely uploaded to the social
communities.
Why myZen takes long to start on my handset?
After serveral days or long time use of myZen, we noticed in some handset models it takes longer to start
or end myZen . We are checking on it. myZen is actually working properly so don't turn OFF/ON your
mobile. Just be patient for 15-20 seconds, you will be ok. Once we figure out what's going on, we will fix it.
Where do I get myZen?
It is easy. Just start your mobile browser in your handset and point to:
http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/myzen.jad
or
http://ota.myzenplanet.com/ota/index.wml
and select the appropriate version of myZen matching your mobile.
This will initiate the download and install process. On a high speed EDGE/3G network, this should take
about 15-20 seconds to complete. Along the way, you will be prompted to allow download and select a
destination to save myZen.
Once download and install are complete, change myZen "PERMISSIONS" to "ALWAY ALLOWED" for the
following:
Internet Connectivity
Read Data
Write Data
This setting allows myZen to run without prompting you every time it needs to connect to the Internet or
read/write date to your device.
After this, run myZen. The very first time, you will be prompted to sign up. This is to save your settings so
that we can recover your data if you switch your mobile device. And Bigno! You are now a myZen.
